Dee is our clinical lead Occupational Therapist at Life Skills Therapy and today our staff participated in an interactive workshop on Return to Work and Developing Clinical Treatment in all areas of practice.

Adaptive Cooking Class

We have exciting news!

Our occupational therapist, Rachel Dinoff, will be holding a virtual 4 part interactive course on adaptive cooking. This group is for anyone who experiences barriers to cooking, including but not limited to individuals with neurological conditions, amputations, arthritis, and chronic pain, and caregivers.

Each lesson plan will include a healthy recipe, and focus on a particular set of barriers to cooking. Learn about adaptive cooking strategies to apply knowledge to healthy recipes!

At Life Skills Therapy, we strongly support growth and professional development. Therefore, we are dedicated to providing learning opportunities for our team so that we can deepen our knowledge and skills to best serve our clients.

Best Practice Day at Life Skills Therapy was facilitated by our occupational therapist, Fion. Our team gathered both virtually and offline to share their expertise and engage in meaningful discussions. Our topics included Hand Therapy and Its Practical Application, Neuromeditation, and Best Practice of Concussion Rehabilitation.

Congratulations to our amazing PD Warriors for completing the Parkinson's Superwalk last weekend! This event helped raise over $300,000 for community services and supports for People with Parkinson's. We couldn't be more proud of our tribe! Go Warriors go!

Life Skills Therapy at Health and Wellness Fair

Life Skills Therapy hosted a booth at the Health and Wellness Fair at Laurel Place in Surrey on May 3rd. Our founder Amit Kumar was a guest speaker at the event and gave some useful tips on maintaining and improving cognitive abilities. The fair was attended by over a 100 people.
